Global Model United Nations Conference 2010  will be hosted by the Government of  Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, from 26 - 30 July 2010.

gmun 2010 conference information and participation

the attached press release and the new website  (www.un.org/gmun) both have information on the conference that you can share with universities, muns and students in your locale to encourage their participation.  we have added a comprehensive frequently asked questions page to the new website to which you can refer students.  please click on "faqs"  on the home page.

a top priority this year is to significantly increase the number of delegates this year - from all regions.  the applications are already on the website and the  deadline for applying is 15 march 2010 which will allow for more timely planning this year.  ideally, we would like students to be nominated by their mun programme in an open, transparent selection process.   however, we will accept individual applications in cases where there are currently no mun programmes, as long as the student has experience in muns.  

we are also seeking your help to encourage students with the requisite experience and leadership skills to apply for the gmun leadership positions as well.   see details on the website -- click on "officials".    the application for gmun official is also on the website, with a deadline of march 22.
